Meet Our Director
Maggie Johnson is the founder and Director of Community Cupboard of Edmeston (CCE). Her vision and leadership are grounded in one closely held statement: “Food is not a commodity.” This is quickly followed by a philosophy that each person who walks through the doors of Community Cupboard is valuable and important Since it's inception, Maggie has brought compassion and care to Community Cupboard of Edmeston's neighbors, serving each with dignity. Under her leadership, CCE has grown into a thriving support to not only neighbors, but to feeding programs in her county. She has partnered with corporations, community groups, and non-profits to bring together like minded people to serve those who face food insecurity in Otsego and Chenango County.

Volunteering is at the heart of all we do! Join us and make an impact in our communities. Whether you want to become a regular volunteer, serving our neighbors, or want to come in to pack our delivery bags, there's room for everyone to care for our neighbors!
Our Board of Directors oversees the program and supports neighbors through best practices. Our board meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm at Community Cupboard.
