At Community Cupboard, we may be small, but we have big hearts and a wide footprint. We believe food should be healthy, fresh, and abundant. Shared.
Food’s not merchandise. It’s LOVE.
From our home pantry in Edmeston to our mobile food truck, every meal we share is an act of care for our neighbors. Together, we can build something simple but powerful: a Central New York where no one goes hungry and everyone feels seen.

Welcome to our Community Cupboard.
Community Cupboard of Edmeston (CCE) exists today because Maggie Johnson believed in something bigger than a food pantry. As its founder and Director, she is guided by the conviction that “food is not a commodity” and that every person who steps inside deserves to feel valued. Her compassion has shaped CCE from its earliest days, transforming it into a thriving hub of support for both neighbors and regional feeding programs. Through Maggie’s leadership, CCE has built strong partnerships with businesses, community groups, and nonprofits—bringing together people who share her commitment to fighting food insecurity in Otsego and Chenango Counties.
